Wake up on fire nace en Baltimore,Maryland. Comenzaron a tocar aproximadamente a fines del año 2002 en un sótano antiguo conocido como la casa de Food not Bombs de Baltimore, un lugar con mucha inspiración.
Comienzan con la intención era de crear algo fresco en la comunidad musical D.I.Y. de Baltimore. Por la línea de miembros pasaron muchos personajes de la escena local durante esos años, incluyendo a Jo (voz), Tim (guitarra), Christine (violonchelo), Kevin(batería), Mis (bajo), JustDave(batería), Chris Control(guitarra) y ex miembros como Boo, Kerrie y Bob. Algunos venían de bandas anteriores como Objection 2 Oppression, 2AM Revolution, Apache Resistance y Inure.
Su último espectáculo fue en septiembre de 2004 en el Nanci Raygun en Richmond, VA. Finalmente terminan separando en el año 2005. Una gran pérdida para el reino de la música en Baltimore. Nuevas bandas se han formado desde esta ruptura Nux Vomica, Moonshine y 57 Octaves Below.

Halo es un dúo formado en Melbourne, Australia utilizando bajo, batería, voz y otros ruidos para crear su sonido.
Durante un corto período la banda fue un trio lanzando dos cd´s con un número limitado de copias antes de compactarse en su formación actual de dúo, permitiendo la máxima flexibilidad y poder creativo. Halo a menudo incorpora ruidos electrónicos, texturas a través de un reproductor de cuatro vías y samplers digitales para completar su estremecedora pared de sonido.

Mose en su forma actual, comenzó alrededor de mayo de 2004. La banda se forma de la colaboración entre bajista y baterista que en ocasiones tocaban en varias bandas. La primera idea era agregar un tercer instrumento que no se asocia con la musica rock contemporánea. Se acabó contratando a un guitarrista debido al fracaso inicial y después de la banda encontró su formación actual.
Musicalmente la banda se encuentra su inspiración en la larga tradición del doom-metal, sludgecore, industrial noise y sus distintas derivaciones musicales.
El primer 7 " fue lanzado por Mösambique Records. Un set en vivo es preparado y la banda está preparada para tocar en shows y algunos festivales.
Si quieres saber donde viene el nombre tiene muchos significados, Möse significa vagina en alemán o pantano en danés . Es evidente que la primera fue la que dio inspiración para el nombre.
Los miembros de la banda tambien tocan en Holefiller, Abrogate, Neuthrone, Plague of G,Crunch, Grimaelkin.

Sea of Deprivation (usa) Catharsis In Disharmony [2000]
De las cenizas de Misanthropic surge Sea of Deprivation un trio formado en Arizona en 1997. Tenian un sonido que cruzan infinidades de estilos con una agonizante voz, guitarras gruesas y brutales letras políticas. Solo llegaron a lanzar un destructivo lp en rl año 2000 titulado “Catharsis In Disharmony” por el sello Catchphraze Records. Aunque muchas veces fueron comparados con Dystopia por su sonido Sea of Deprivation con sus letras nihilistas y políticas escritas de una forma brutalmente honesta pueden sobresalir de esta comparación.Un detalle del disco trae un cover de Disrupt.

Agoraphobic Nosebleed (usa) 30 Song Demo Tape [1995]
Agoraphobic Nosebleed es un proyecto de grindcore fundado por el guitarrista de Pig Destroyer, Scott Hull. Inicialmente, el resto de miembros de la banda eran anónimos. Actualmente, la alineación consiste en Hull como guitarrista y Jay Randall como vocalista. Hull también se ocupa de la programación de la batería, pues el objetivo principal de la banda es la creación de música lo más brutal y rápida posible.
Agoraphobic Nosebleed se forma en 1994 en Massachusetts (Estados Unidos), por Scott Hull y otros individuos anonimos. Después del fin de Anal Cunt, Hull quería llevar el grindcore muy muy lejos en la depravación y la violencia con su nuevo proyecto. Debido a la ausencia de baterías en Massachussets, decidieron integrar una caja de ritmos (lo que les vino de maravilla cuando se enteraron de lo rápido que podían ir) y otros sonidos digitales en su música. El sonido de Agoraphobic Nosebleed suele estar descrito como Cybergrind o Digital-grindcore, por el uso de la caja de ritmos que da un lado Extreme-Techno a su música. Con el uso de la caja de ritmos, el duo ha llegado a velocidades incalculables que superan los 1000 BPM. Esta formación también es conocida por la corta duración de sus "canciones", pues su último trabajo Altered States Of America contiene 100 temas por una duración de 25 minutos, y muchos cortes no alcanzan los cinco segundos. Las letras, por su parte, hablan de violencia y sobre todo de drogas, la mayoría del tiempo se resumen a una corta frase por tema (de todas formas no tienen tiempo de hacer más). El único concierto del duo se realizó en 2003, en un festival Punk Hardcore, y se resumió a una intro de un minuto y dos temas de diez segundos cada uno: seguramente el concierto más corto de la historia. Actualmente siguen en Relapse (todos los discos del duo han salido en el sello de Nueva York menos los dos primeros) y están trabajando en su nueva placa después de haber editado un imprescindible doble recopilatorio a principios de 2006.

En 1993 la oscuridad, el mal, la tierra vomitó la maldición de Morbosidad. En ese mismo año un demo de tres pistas grabadas en un ensayo fueron lanzadas.
En el año 1994 Morbosidad entró en un frío y negro estudio en San Francisco, California y grabaron cuatro asaltos de pura brutal oscuridad enfermedad y blasfemia del metal. Que se suponía que iba a ser llamado "Santísima Muerte".
Un año más tarde, el baterista Yegros murió en un accidente al explotar la fría y oscura sala de ensayo, debido a accidente la banda decidió separarce por un tiempo.
Junto con la banda, que desaparece la distribución de "Santisima Muerte", que nunca salió como un lanzamiento oficial morboso. A mediados de 1998, Tomas Stench y N'Death se juntaron para reunir malos pensamientos de nuevo y traer de vuelta la horda a la tierra con nueva formación e ideas, la banda comenzó a trabajar en nuevo material que más tarde seria un disco bajo el nombre de la banda.
Pero debido a algunos problemas personales y económicos este álbum salió finalmente en el año 2000. Desde entonces la horda ha sido la creación de maldad y profanar lo más posible con el fin de difundir el culto de la maldad y el poderoso Satán!

Thergothon fue una banda influenciada por el doom metal que nace en 1990 en Kaarina, Finlandia con Niko "Skorpio" Sirkiä (voz y teclados), Mikko Ruotsalainen (guitarra), Sami Kaveri (guitarra) y Jori Sjüroos (bateria y voz).Fueron los pioneros del subgénero Funeral doom. Comienzan con su demo Yog-Sothoth en 1991 , luego continúan con un estilo muy crudo y depresivo con el álbum Stream from the Heavens en 1994. Su sonido era extremadamente lento combinado con riffs muy pesados en las guitarras, con escasas melodías, voces guturales y profundas alternando con voces depresivas. La temática del grupo se basa en el libro Necronomicón de Howard Philip Lovecraft. El grupo ya se había disuelto dos años antes de lanzar su primer álbum.

Tarpit es una banda oriunda de Aberdeen, Maryland que desde 2005 recorren el circuito de escenarios con gran actitud y los pies firmes sobre la tierra. Formados por Jim en voz(Inspite, Kerum, Minnesota Fats),Clint en guitarra (Kerum, Shitdogs of War/Deceiver),Mike McIntyre en bajo(Jersey Longhairs, Skip Dynamite)y John tras los tambores (Kerum, Minnesota Fats, Shitdogs of War/Deceiver),Tarpit a lanzado de manera de manera independiente y por ellos mismos dos demos titulados "Practice Demo 1" y "Practice Demo 2" ambos ese mismo año.
A este material le seguirá el próximo año un álbum en vivo titulado "Live From the Cup" edotado en formato CD-R,cassette y vinilo por parte del sello Death, Agony & Screams.
Para el 2006 llega el turno de editar su primer ep titulado como la banda editado en conjunto por Death Agony & Screams y Bluetrane seguido año siguiente de otro ep llamado "Trace Fossils " pero esta vez editado por ellos mimos y lo vendían durante sus tour.
La banda ya tenia cierta reputación dentro de la comunidad Sludge/Doom Metal que consolidan en el 2008 con el lanzamiento en 2008 por medio de Death, Agony, & Screams su primer larga duracion "There is Nothing After Extinction".
Fieles a su temática sobre dinosaurios,criaturas prehistóricas,drogas y una influencia de Sabbath, Grief, Corrupted, 13, Noothgrush, Iron Monkey, Pixies, Hayden,entre otros tiene una creciente audiencia que junto al camino recorrido va creciendo de manera asombrosa.

VOG (usa) Colors Of Infiniti EP [2005]
Una reseña sobre su disco homónimo del año 2006 comenzaba diciendo algo así:
“Simplemente me golpea, me golpea y me sigue golpeando. Honestamente, no soy tan masoquista, pero a veces realmente tan bueno vale la pena que duela. Música que suena como un puño…”.Una manera de lo más acertada para definir a VOG.
VOG se forma en el año 2004 en Oakton, Virginia y su música tiene un sonido fuera de control, desesperante y sucio. Un viaje que da placer transitar.
La formación está integrada por Steven en voz (Lost It, The Seventh Gate), Ben en guitarra, Scott en bajo/samples (Lost It) Kifah creando uno de los más épico y pesado sludge metal influenciado por lo mejor del punk,doom y la psicodelia.
Luego de varios lanzamientos propios final finalmente con Shifty Records.

The Devil’s Blood (hol) Demo [2007]
The Devil’s Blood es una banda de occult rock formada en Holanda en 2006.
Su música es un frenesí de rock n´ roll con sabor a rock que hablan de tiempos pasados, de otras décadas, nada de modernismos, nada de nuevas tendencias, en definitiva nada en lo absoluto de nuevos sonidos.
Añada un poco de Vintage rock al estilo Roky Erickson, Black Widow, Coven, Black Sabbath y una rica multiplicidad de rock psicodélico de los años sesenta y setenta, grupos del undergound demasiado numerosos para mencionarlas.
Aunque The Devil’s Blood se inspiran y son alimentados por su amor por estas bandas no son ni se parecen a una banda tributo. En vez de eso, ofrecen nuevo y originales material fresco para fortalecer nuestro vivir apaciguar nuestros rituales y sentidos.
Por lo tanto, a pesar de que The Devil’s Blood toca “old time music” lo hacen con la misma unidad creativa y artística como su inspiradores.
