The Black Fire (arg) Demo [2008]

El 25 de mayo del 2007, después de terminar con un proyecto musical en el que participaban, Willy (batería) y Franco (guitarra) deciden armar una nueva banda, la cual se terminaría llamando The Black Fire. Comienzan los ensayos sin un rumbo musical definido, pero siempre manteniéndose dentro de lo más pesado del rock n’ roll, gestando así las bases del sonido que daría forma a las canciones de la futura banda. 4 meses después de haber probado a dos cantantes, conocen a Caín (actual vocalista). En una noche de comida y tragos, Caín demuestra ser la persona indicada para el rol de cantante. 2 meses después llega la grabación del primer demo. Esta grabación estuvo a manos de Patrick Johnson, ingeniero de sonido estadounidense. La misma consolidaría la dirección musical de la banda. Luego de esto, se inicia una incesante búsqueda para dar con el cuarto integrante de la banda, llegándose a probar 9 bajistas, sin que ninguno termine de entender el concepto musica al que la banda quería apuntar. 4 meses después, gracias a un amigo que presenció un ensayo, el cual dijo conocer a la persona indicada para el puesto de bajista, es que ingresa José (actual bajista). Ya con una formación sólida y con varios ensayos encima, la banda se presenta en vivo por primera vez, el 16 de mayo del 2008 en un Tattoo fest en el club 990 Arte Bar, de la ciudad de Córdoba. Luego siguieron otras presentaciones en diversos lugares, y la grabación del segundo demo, el que ustedes pueden escuchar aquí.(Gracias a los amigos de The Black Fire por mandar su demo,escuchenlo!)

Dirge (fra) Down Last Level [1998]

Dirge nació en París en 1994. El núcleo originario fue formado por Marc T. (guitarra, programación) y de Laurent P. (voz, programación). Dentro del género industrial metal de bandas como Godflesh o Pitch Shifter (debut), la música generada por el dúo presenta riffs de guitarras duros, ritmos roboticos, agresivas frecuencias y voces agresivas. Tres demo tapes se daran a conocer en esta primera época: “Infected Brain Machine” (94), “Mind Time Control” (95) y “Dead Network Access” (96).
Después de la salida de Laurent P., el bajista David K. y el guitarrista. Franck T. se unieron a la banda. Este primer cambio en la alineación coincide con una ruidosa y menos electrónica curva musical, en torno a la desgarrada voz de Marc T., la música va más a lo oscuro, tortuoso, disonantes. El primer álbum “Down, Last Level”es lanzado en 1998.
En 1999, Alain B. (batería) y Christophe [Zomb] D. (máquinas, percusiones y voz) fortalecen la banda. Re-humanizado con la renuncia de la caja de ritmos, la música es mucho más pesada y sofocante, guitarras se convierten en el centro de gravedad del segundo álbum “Blight And Vision Below A Faded Sun” (publicado en el 2000 po el sello propio del grupo, Blight Records).
Tres años más tarde el tercer disco “And Shall The Sky Descend” es lanzado y se introducen en un aspecto más hipnótico de la banda en lo musical. Si bien las guitarras pesadas son el centro de las piezas al construir " And Shall The Sky Descend ", la extrema lentitud de downed tempos, partes aterradoras, violín, voz femenina y la banda presenta el resultado de cuatro años de evolución musical.
A partir de 2004 a 2006, la banda da varios conciertos y vuelven al estudio en Suiza en noviembre de 2006 para grabar su cuarto álbum, un doble CD " Wings Of Lead Over Dormant Seas " publicado en septiembre de 2007.
2008 ve la grabación de una cover The Cure " A Short Term Effect " para el fanzine Feardrop así como la liberación de la pista inédita " The Coiling " para " Falling Down Compilation ".

Seahag (usa) Seahag Demo [2007]

Hay más de una banda con el nombre Seahag, pero la que importa es esta banda de Sludge Metal de Little Rock , AR. La banda anteriormente tocaba bajo el nombre de Locust Swarm.
" Metal" Dave se unió a la banda en agosto de 2006 para sustituir Dustin Weddle en el bajo, que estaba en la desde febrero de 2004 a julio de 2006. Dustin puede ser acreditado de contribuir con las canciones " The Thief the Coward " " y "Hate Note". Dustin era también Locust Swarm la demo de 2005 que nunca fue terminado/lanzado. La cinta tuvo una rotura de un 6 mes después de aquella grabación y regresaron juntos como Seahag a principios de 2006.
Par el 2007 editan un demo autotitulado por Hell 's War Records,con una edición limitada de 500 copias. Al agotarse este material la banda decide subir el demo a internet y así poderlo descargar de forma gratuita.
Al año siguiente Hell 's War Records lanza su primer álbum llamado “Our Presence Here is in Vain” .

Witch Mountain se formó en Portland, Oregón en 1997 por Rob Wrong (Stubbs Iommi, ex-M99) y Nate "Nanotear" Carson (Point Line Plane, Two Ton Boa, Sunn0))) colaborador, etc.) En 2000, las bases se habían establecido, el demo "Homegrown Doom" fue remasterizado y puesto en libertad en Europa, y Dave Hoopaugh (Iommi Stubbs, Comavoid, Towers) fue llevado a ser el bajista después de una cadena de muchos.
El álbum debut "...Come the Mountain" fue puesto en libertad con los elogios de la crítica en 2001. La primera impresión se vendido en 2 meses, teniendo que hacer una segunda edición a la que se le sumaron bonus tracks inéditos compuestos para el PC / Dreamcast videojuego "Shrapnel".

La última gira fue en 2002 con Eterna Elysium de Japón. Después de eso, un período se produjo un gran periodo de hibernación. Rob y Dave tenian niños y familia que cuidar. Nate estaba constantemente de gira con el PLP.
En 2005, WM sacudió el polvo a su regreso acompañados de los poderoso YOB (su último concierto en Portland) y Totimoshi. Seguido de una temporada de conciertos con Acid King, Atomic Bitchwax, Wolves in the Throneroom, entre otros. Quedó claro que la química era mejor que nunca y las canciones realmente florecieron con el tiempo.
2006-2007 marcó el regreso a Portland con nuevas canciones. Conciertos con Danava, Gargantula, Green Milk from the Planet Orange, Stovokor, Buried Blood y los viejos amigos Glasspack para tiempos de bonanza y ensordeciendo al público local.
2008 será un buen augurio para la banda ya que graban y editan finalmente su segundo álbum "South of Salem". También dos canciones se utilizan en banda sonora de la hilarante comedia "Film Geek”

Pearls and Brass es una banda Stoner Rock de Nazareth, Pensilvania.
Los miembros de la banda comenzaron a tocar juntos en 1996, pero no oficialmente en forma de banda hasta el año 2001. Su primera grabación llegó en 2003, cuando Doppelganger Records lanzó su LP debut auto-titulado.
El estilo de la banda está muy influenciada por el rock clásico de los años 70´s, similar a bandas populares como Wolfmother. Después la banda fue invitada por Slint a abrir para ellos en Inglaterra en el All Tomorrow's Parties festival, la banda llamó la atención de Drag City Records. Su primer lanzamiento por Drag City fue en el 2006,titulado “The Indian Tower”, llamando la atención de los medios importantes en los Estados Unidos.

We're All Gonna Die es una banda de hard rock de Boston formado en 1998. El Cantante/Guitarrista Jim Healey, el bajista Jesse Sherman y el baterista Scott Healey tomaron todos los mejores elementos del metal y el hard rock, quitaron toda la mierda y se pusieron a tocar música que pateara el trasero del que la oye.
Piense en un poquito de Acid Bath, mezclelo con la buena cabeza de Tool, Algun toquesito Alice in Chains y Guns n´ Roses unido a la atmósfera del stoner rock y a los sonidos fuzz, usted podría fanatisarce con a este excelente trio de Boston . Estos tipos tienen una combinación de sonidos pesados y de buen gusto de melodía, con una atmósfera que merece la atención.

Paul Chain es un guitarrista italiano que ha sacado una colección extensa de material bajo varios nombres para su proyecto solista. Paul Chain es un nombre dentro de la cultura musical Doom Metal.
Paul Chain era el guitarrista y el cofundador, con Steve Sylvester de la banda italiana de " "horror music" (como ellos se etiquetaron) Death SS. Con Chain, la banda lanzo un gran número de 7 " y Ep´s (el último con Chain tanto en las voces como en la guitarra). Estas grabaciones han sido recogidas y lanzadas en “The Story of Death SS (1977-1984”) y “The Horned God of Witches”. Death SS se separa en 1984 y la Chain formó su grupo solista llamado Paul Chain Violet Theatre.
Este grupo consistió en Chain en guitarra, la voz, y teclados y destacó a muchos otros músicos. También ha liberado discos bajo el nombre Paul Chain - The Improvisor y Paul Chain - Experimental Information. Él ha trabajado con Lee Dorrian (en el álbum Alkhest) y con Wino (en Unreleased Vol. 2). En la actualidad trabaja bajo su nombre verdadero Paolo Catena.
